The Earl of Clanwilliam (formely Lord Gillford)

Chairman of the Board of Directors of EDC

  • Lord Clanwilliam is BoD Chairman of EDC since October 2007.
  • Since March 2006 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of OJSC Polyus Gold.
  • Lord Clanwilliam founded and is currently a Director of The Policy Partnership Limited. Since 1997 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Benevolent Society of St. Patrick, and since 2005, he has served on the Advisory Council of the Ukrainian British City Club.
  • Lord Clanwilliam was a director of the Ballot Box Limited from 2000 to 2003, and Chairman of the Board of Directors (without executive powers) of Cleveland Bridge UK Ltd from 2000 to 2004.
  • Lord Clanwilliam is a graduate of Eton College.

Alexander Djaparidze

Chief Executive Officer of EDC

  • One of EDC founders in 2002.
  • Since 1995 to 2007 Mr. Djaparidze served as the President of PetroAlliance Services Company Limited. He has been Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors since February 2007.
  • From 1990 until 1995 he served as Managing Director of the Soviet-US joint venture oilfield services company MD SEIS.
  • Mr. Djaparidze holds a degree in Mining Engineering and Geophysics from the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. He is Doctor of Science; member of Eurasia Geophysical Society (EGS).
  • In 2006, he was awarded RF Government prize for special achievements in science and technology.

Richard Anderson

Chief Financial Officer of EDC

  • Mr. Anderson is a Director of EDC since October 2011
  • Chief Financial Officer of EDC since July 2008.
  • 32 years in oil and gas industry  related finance and management
  • From May 2002 until March 2007, President and Chief Executive Officer of Prime Natural Resources, Inc.
  • Certified Public Accountant, Bachelor of Science in Business-University of Colorado, Magna Cum Laude. Masters in Taxation-University of Denver. 

 

Alexander Shokhin

  • Mr. Shokhin is a member of the BoD of EDC since October 2007.
  • He has been a member of the Board of Directors of LUKOIL and Chairman of its HR & Compensation Committee since January 2005.
  • Mr. Shokhin has been the President of the State University-Higher School of Economics since 1995.
  • He has been President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs since 2005.
  • Mr. Shokhin was Chairman of the Supervisory Council of Renaissance Capital Investment Group from 2002 until 2005.
  • From 1994 until 2002 he was a Deputy of the State Duma, where his last position was the Head of the Duma Committee on Credit Institutions and Capital Markets.
  • Mr. Shokhin holds a degree in Economics from the Moscow State University. He is Doctor of Economic Science; Professor and Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.

Victor Kalyuzhny

  • Mr. Kalyuzhny is a member of BoD of EDC since September 2009.
  • Mr. Kalyuzhny has recently retired from a position of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Latvia.
  • During the 1970s and 1980s he occupied a number of key positions at Tomskneft's Strezhevoineft.
  • From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Kalyuzhny worked in Vietnam as Director of Oil and Gas Extraction for VietSovPetro. He subsequently became First Deputy Director of Tomskneft, and from 1994 to1997 was first Vice President  of Eastern Oil Company.
  • In 1997 Mr. Kalyuzhny became a Deputy of the Tomsk State Duma. In 1998, he was appointed First Deputy Minister for Fuel and Energy, becoming Minister of of Fuel and Energy of Russia in 1999.
  • From 2000 to 2004 Mr. Kalyuzhny was Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for Caspian Sea Status Settlement .
  • Mr. Kalyuzhny graduated from Ufa Oil Institute.

Martin Hansen

  • Mr. Hansen is Director of EDC since 2004.
  • He has worked in various administrative and management capacities in the oil service industry.
  • Since 1993, he has been responsible for and worked on several CIS projects, including a 700 well workover project in Western Siberia and served as CFO of PetroAlliance Services Company Limited.
  • CIS experience in corporate structuring, budgeting, accounting, financial/tax analysis, import/export, contract negotiations, as well as in other administrative and management functions.
  • Mr. Hansen holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa.

Richard Matzke

  • Mr. Matzke has been a Director of EDC since September 2010.
  • From 2002 to 2010 he served as a member of the Board of Directors of LUKOIL and Chairman of its Strategy and Investment Committee.
  • Mr. Matzke served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chevron until his retirement in 2002 after 41 years of service with the company.
  • Mr. Matzke is a member of the US-Russia Business Council, Russian-American Chamber of Commerce, Council on Foreign Relations, and the Euro-Atlantic Security Initiative.
  • Previously, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the US-Kazakhstan Business Association and served on the Boards of Directors of the American-Iranian Council, the National Committee on US-China Relations, and the Eurasia Foundation. He was also on the Board of Trustees of the Africa-America Institute and the Advisory Board of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies.
  • Mr. Matzke earned a BA in geology from Iowa State University in 1959, received an MA in geology from Pennsylvania State University in 1961, and an MBA from St. Mary’s College in California in 1977. In 1996, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Georgian Technical University in Tbilisi.
  • He received a medal “For Development of the Russian Oil and Gas Industry” in 2006 and received a national prize as “Director of the Year, 2006” from the Russian Association of Independent Directors.

Rene Huck

  • Mr. Huck is a Director of EDC since October 2007.
  • He is also Director of BWO, a Norwegian FPSO Company.
  • In October 2005 Mr. Huck retired from Schlumberger where he held a variety of senior positions over 15 years, most recently as Vice-President QHSE and Industry Affairs.
  • In 1988-1990 he served as CEO of the drilling contractor Techfor Cosifor.
  • Prior to that, Mr. Huck worked for 16 years as drilling and operations manager  and then President TOTAL Egypt at TOTAL S.A.
  • Mr. Huck holds a Mechanical Engineer degree from Ecole Centrale in Nantes, France and Petroleum Engineer degree from French Petroleum Institute, Rueil Malmaison (Paris).

Maurice Dijols

  • Mr. Dijols has been a Director of EDC since October 2011.
  • For past 8 years Maurice Dijols is President of Schlumberger Russia. Headquartered in Moscow, Maurice provides strategic direction for the company’s business operations in Russia.
  • Mr. Dijols joined Schlumberger in the Middle East in May 1977 and has held a variety of executive positions during his 30-year career with Schlumberger.
