EDC announces Management and Organizational changes to executive leadership team

EDC Announces Management and Organizational Changes

 

Eurasia Drilling Company Limited (“EDC” or the “Company”) (LSE: EDCL) today announced changes to its organizational structure and executive leadership team, effective immediately.

 

W. Richard Anderson has been appointed Chief Financial Officer.

 

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Anderson served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Prime Natural Resources, Inc., a closely held exploration and production company.  Before joining Prime Natural Resources, Inc., Mr. Anderson was managing partner of the Houston office of Hein & Associates, LLP, a certified public accounting firm.  He currently serves as a non-executive director of Transocean Inc., Boots & Coots International Well Control, Inc. and Vanguard Natural Resources, LLC.

 

Kim L. Kruschwitz has been named Vice President, Investor Relations.

Mr. Kruschwitz joined EDC in April 2008 as Vice President, Marketing.  Before joining the Company, he was employed by Baker Hughes Inc. from January 1981 to March 2008, most recently as Global Account Manager, ExxonMobil.  Mr. Kruschwitz has extensive management, marketing and operational experience on a global basis, including postings in the Middle East, the Far East, Central Asia, Europe, North Africa, West Africa and North America.

Mr. Anderson and Mr. Kruschwitz have replaced Ronald A. Harris, formerly CFO & SVP, Investor Relations, due to the increasing need of the Company for specialized financial and marketing management.  Mr. Harris assisted the Company in completing its initial public offering and initial two quarters as a public company, and the Company thanks him for his assistance in this important period in the Company’s development. 

 

EDC has also made organizational and management changes at OOO Burovaya Kompaniya Eurasia (BKE), the main operating entity of the Company’s onshore drilling services division:

Vladimir S. Shabrov has been named Vice President, Commercial Development of BKE, reporting to Alexander N. Bogachev, President of BKE.

Mr. Shabrov has 26 years experience in the drilling industry, holding positions of increasing responsibility with various LUKOIL subsidiaries and forerunners, including senior drilling management positions in Western Siberia, Viet Nam, Kazakhstan and Moscow.  Just prior to joining BKE, from September 2005 he served as Head of the Drilling Department for LUKOIL Overseas Services Ltd. in Moscow.   Mr. Shabrov holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the Tyumen Industrial Institute.

Ivan V. Buzanov has been named Vice President, Operations Support and Procurement of BKE, reporting to Mr. Bogachev.

Mr. Buzanov joined BKE in November 2005 as Head, Procurement Department .  Prior to joining BKE, he filled management and supervisory roles for TNK-BP from June 2005, and for Yukos-Service Co.  from November 2000, in the areas of procurement , distribution and inventory control.  Mr. Buzanov holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute.

Mr. Shabrov and Mr. Buzanov replace Yury F. Sitlivy, formerly Sr. VP Commercial Development and Operations Support of BKE, who has left the Company to pursue other interests.  The Company thanks Mr. Sitlivy for his valuable contributions to the Company during his tenure.
