Eurasia Drilling Company Limited (“EDC” - LSE: EDCL) has been notified that Alexander Bogachev, President of Burovaya Kompanya Evrasia, the primary operating company of EDCL in Russia, has purchased 1,700 GDRs of the Company at a price of US$ 4.07 per GDR on February 19, 2009. After this transaction, Mr. Bogachev's total holdings in the Company amount to 36,190 GDRs (equivalent to 36,190 common shares), representing approximately 0.03% of the Issued and Outstanding Shares of the Company.
EDCL has been notified that Taleh Aleskerov, Chief Financial Officer of Burovaya Kompanya Evrasia, the primary operating company of EDCL in Russia, has purchased 1,000 GDRs of the Company at a price of US$ 4.07 per GDR on February 19, 2009. After this transaction, Mr. Aleskerov's total holdings in the Company amount to 21,110 GDRs (equivalent to 21,110 common shares), representing approximately 0.02% of the Issued and Outstanding Shares of the Company.

EDC is the largest provider of onshore drilling services in Russia, as measured by the number of meters drilled, providing onshore integrated well construction services and workover services. In addition, the Company provides offshore drilling services in the Caspian Sea. The Company offers its onshore integrated well construction services and workover services to local and international oil and gas companies primarily in Russia and its offshore drilling services to Russian and international oil and gas companies in the Russian, Kazakh and Turkmen sectors of the Caspian Sea.
